Daddy Camping 1.0 Ike Kinswa State Park

Our first daddy camping adventure was at Ike Kinswa State park in WA state. We visited the park in November of 2015. This campground was just awesome and a perfect for place to start. You can rent beautiful little cabins on the lake that can sleep about 6 people. We rented two cabins for this trip.

We have rules while camping with the dads. The kids can go crazy as long as they dont get hurt, fight, and stay within viewing distance at all times. We feel this allow the kids to explore and just be kids. We trust them. There is no cell phone usage, tv's or electronic devices allowed during the time. The kids have to explore and learn how to enjoy the environment around them.

Soon as we get to camp the kids hit the water. They where soaked within 10 mins. We had towels on hand and always a ton of extra clothing.

It takes teamwork to move such a large stick.

So long stick

Now its time to throw some rocks and explore the beach.

Time to explore the woods.

This was late fall when we visited. It was dumping buckets in the NW at the time. Record rain and flooding. Lucky us the rain passed our camp that weekend.

Time to play games. The kids are not allowed to use smartphones or iPads during the trip. But they can play with toys and board games as much as they want.

S'more time

Awesome Trip
